While blessed with huge windows and lots of natural light, this living, dining and kitchen area doesn't have a big footprint so a good furniture layout was essential. One of the key things we did is add more storage through the coffee table, tall bookshelf and media unit. The use of a larger rug improves proportion within the space, while the 2 seat sofa and the addition of the ottomans gives an impression of more space.

We have extended the wooden flooring throughout the kitchen as well, which creates a sense of continuity and seamless flow within the two areas. The walls were kept light as we needed to make the space appear bigger, and this would be great for the winter months in England, when light flow is limited. The result is a contemporary space with plenty of seating, storage and improved spatial planning.
