quay de serbie

This project is a contemporary take on classic French style, designed to bring together architectural heritage and modern warmth. The space features traditional elements like ornate ceiling moldings, a statement marble fireplace, and arched windows that naturally brighten the room and emphasize its height and symmetry.
To introduce contrast and comfort, I chose a deep rust velvet sectional that grounds the space and adds a bold, warm tone. The palette continues in the custom-built bookshelf, where veined marble and warm oak create a layered, tactile backdrop. A large-scale, graphic artwork and sculptural lighting pieces help balance the classical envelope with a modern edge.
Every piece was selected to complement the architecture without competing with it—marble and wood coffee tables, soft neutral tones, and curved shapes bring flow and cohesion.
In the kitchen, rich walnut cabinetry anchors the space, while the veined marble countertops and matching backsplash add depth and movement. The palette is softened by warm taupe wall units and contrasted by the full-height matte black pantry, creating visual rhythm without clutter. The arched glass partition subtly connects the kitchen to the adjacent living room, allowing light to flow while maintaining functional separation. Every element was chosen to feel intentional and timeless—practical enough for daily use, yet quietly luxurious in its execution.
The result is a space that feels elevated yet comfortable, with a quiet confidence that reflects the client’s taste and the charm of the setting.
