Montessori is a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play.

 

We designed the playroom and bedroom with the Montessori principles, while also considering the young 2 year old's fondness of nautical toys, animals and rocketships. The transition from a crib to a House Frame Floor bed will promote his early independence and development.

 

A safe space is created in the bedroom where he will be able to rest and read without the distractions of activities and games which were kept for the playroom.

We used 3d renders to bring the design concept to life. This allowed us to visualise the wallpaper in different variants, decide on window treatments and most importantly the layout that would work best within the given space.
